1. SCOPE OF WORK:

This method statement enumerates the activities involved in the installations of doors and frames as per the latest approved 'IFC drawings and Project specifications. This method statement also ensures safety procedures involved in the execution of the activity, according to the requirements of Haradh & Hawiyah Field Gas Compression Project

3. REFERENCES:

The latest revision of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards shall be used as per references and is part of this Method Statement in the execution work.

The document has been prepared with the reference to the following documents:

        Project Safety Plan and executed procedures

        Project Quality Plan and executed procedures

            

        SAES-M-100 - Aramco Building code

         IBC—International Building Code

         IFC - Drawings

4. RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Project Manager

Project manager is responsible for overall project execution. He will coordinate with contractor, monitor progress, attend meetings and resource management. overall, he will be responsible for timely completion of project in accordance to all contractual requirements

 CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

The Construction Manager is responsible for a multitude of tasks. He shall review the project activities in depth and to manage the construction schedule in an effective manner He is responsible person to lead the construction crew as per project requirements.

 QC MANAGER

The QC Manager shall ensure that the Method Statement shall be in compliance with Project Specifications, IFC drawings and another related quality document and requirements.


SITE ENGINEER

Responsible for all the coordination works with various departments and main Contractor in the site.

SAFETY MANAGER:

The Safety Manager / Safety Officer shall be responsible for implementing the project safety requirements at site.


 SAFETY SUPERVISOR 

The Safety Officer shall be responsible for implementing the project safety requirements at site.

 FOREMAN

The Foreman is responsible for giving instruction to his crew during the execution of building in compliance of IFC drawing and other related documents.

 PERMIT RECEIVER 

The Permit Receiver is responsible for processing work permit for all related activities.

 QC CIVIL INSPECTOR

The QC Civil Inspector shall monitor the activities during construction, compliance with the approved method statement as well as in accordance with Project Specifications, IFC drawings and another related document.

5. TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL:

All equipment and tools being mobilized on site shall be certified and in good and running condition. They shall be double checked and inspected by the concerned personnel prior to use of them. Equipment Operators and drivers shall have a current Saudi Arabia license. The following are the equipment and tools to be used.

 Masonry Tools

 Carpentry Tools

 Mixing Puddle

 Measuring Jar

 Fork Lift

 Buckets

 Wooden / Aluminum Runner

 Boom Track / Crane

6. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS / HSE:

 HSE Manager / Supervisor shall review each activity based on JHA for the activity, submitted along with work permit for approval prior to the work. He shall ensure that safe working plan and work permits submitted to Contractor safety department must be implemented and observed during the concerned activity.

 Barricade shall be set up around the sites warning sign shall be posted to caution other personal on site of the ongoing work the material safety data sheet (MSDS)of hazardous materials shall be available whenever in use si

 Ensure the crane operator shall have vailed Aramco certificate prior to the activity starts.

 Close monitoring of the HSE personal during the execution of the activity.

 Job safety Analysis for these activities shall be submitted for review and approval – (Attached) 


7. WORK PROCEDURE

7.1. Pre-installation Procedure:

7.1.1 All the door & frames, including the hardware shall be stored completely with proper protection and identification

7.1.2 The door & frame materials shall be transferred to site with proper care and thus by avoiding damages.

7.1.3 The door opening portion shall be pre-checked in order to fix the doors & frames as per IFC drawings.

7.1.4 The concrete and the masonry portion of the door opening shall be roughened prior to fixing the door frames.

7.1.5 Orientation for door frames and doors shall be carefully identified from the latest IFC drawings prior to installation.

7.1.6 Contractor to comply Aramco standard related to the door and accessories installations.

7.2. Installation Procedure:

7.2.1 Door frames shall be carefully positioned, aligned and installed by using manpower and equipment’s

7.2.2 If necessary temporary supports and scaffolding shall be erected to the door moving away from its position.

7.2.3 Final vertical & horizontal alignment shall be done prior to Anchor & Frame grouting.

7.2.4 Care shall be taken to avoid any scratch or damage during handling and installation of doors & frames.

7.2.5 Tee anchors shall be fixed equally by site welding along with the vertical rebar on both sides of the frames

7.2.6 Masonry wall shall be cut at the Tee anchor portion and then it shall be grouted. Final alignment of door frames shall be executed after the grouting work.

7.2.7 After 1 days of moist curing, doors shall be fixed by using hinges and screws with proper alignment

7.2.8 After the completion of door frame installation all other approved hardware items shall be fixed using proper hand tools.

7.2.9 Protect wood doors during transportation, storage and handling to prevent soiling and/or damage Take particular care to protect doors from water and high humidity conditions

7.2.10 All items to be installed in correctly prepared openings, set plumb, square, level and in correct alignment with other work. They shall be securely anchored and ready for operation.

7.2.11 All doors shall be hung with all clearances accurately maintained.

7.2.12 All labeled doors shall be provided and installed in accordance with Aramco standards and IBC. 


8. INSPECTION REQUIREMENT:

 Document requirement shall be check including approve Methods Statement and other related documents for inspection.

 RFI shall be raised for Company verification.
